SCSU student quarantined after mercury spill
by Jim Maurice, WJON.com

ST. CLOUD -- A student at St. Cloud State University had to be quarantined for a while today (Friday), after a thermometer containing mercury shattered.

St. Cloud Fire Department Captain Jim Bleichner says the incident happened just after 10:30 a.m. in the Math and Science Building.

He says the building was secured until West Central Environmental could come in and clean-up the spill.

There were two students and two professors in the room at the time of the spill.

Bleichner says there doesn't appear to be any injuries.
