Several hurt in Stearns County crashes

UNDATED -- Stearns County authorities were called to 3 separate traffic accidents with injuries Saturday afternoon.
About 1:35 p.m., the Stearns County Sheriff’s office responded to a two-vehicle accident with injuries on CR 145 just west of CR 44 in Lynden Township.
A motorcycle driven by 45-year-old Arlen Jacobsma of Monticello had attempted to pass another vehicle while westbound on CR 145 when he collided head-on with an Eastbound pickup truck driven by 51-year old Ricky Riesgraf of Maple Lake.
Jacobsma was transported to St. Cloud Hospital with unknown injuries.
A St. Joseph man was trapped in his vehicle and was rescued by witnesses when the car rolled over 2 miles east of Holdingford about 3:30 Saturday afternoon.
32 year old Robert Edin Junior was eastbound on River Street when he lost control of the car that entered a ditch and overturned. The car later caught fire and was destroyed.
The Holdingford Fire and Rescue, Life Link and Gold Cross Ambulance assisted at the scene.
Just before 5pm A truck traveling east on CT RD 17 failed to stop for a stop sign in Brockway Township a CR 1 and struck a tree on the east side of the road.
The driver, 21-year old Richard Boeckers of Avon and the passenger, 27-year old John Mergen of Melrose were taken to St. Cloud Hospital and treated for their injuries.
The accident is still under investigation.
