DNR: Put safety first while out on the water

UNDATED -- If you're planning to spend part of your holiday weekend out on the water, the D-N-R is reminding to be safe.
Water Safety Specialist Tim Smalley says you should wear a life jacket when boating, don't swim from a boat -- unless your wearing a life jacket, and check to make sure your boat lights are working if you're going to be boating after dark.
And, of course, boating and alcohol don't mix.
