Stolen car driven into the river

CLEARWATER -- A car stolen from a sales lot in St. Augusta has been found in the Mississippi River. 

The Sherburne County Sheriff's Department says the car was spotted by a passerby, partially submerged, at the Clearwater boat landing.

Captain Joel Brott says they believe the car was purposely driven into the river.

The vehicle was stolen earlier this (Thursday) morning.

Authorities are still searching for the suspects.
