City of Sauk Rapids – Mayor – 2005 – 2008 (elected)
MTC (Metro Bus) – Commissioner – 2005 – 2008 (appointed)

Why did you decide to run for this office?
I have been the Mayor of Sauk Rapids since January of 2005 and have had the opportunity to lead the city through the biggest changes in its history. There are a number of unfinished projects, such as the ongoing development downtown and future development east of Highway 10, the completion of our riverside park plans, and the continued growth within our industrial parks that I want to see completed over the next four years and I am up for the challenge

Top three issues facing the city:
· Managed growth for the City of Sauk Rapids – I am committed to managing the growth of the city and the infrastructure it takes to support the continued development of Sauk Rapids.

· Public Safety – I will continue to support the Sauk Rapids police and fire departments in their efforts to keep the city, its residents, and visitors safe.

· Fiscal Responsibility – Financially, the next four years will be very challenging for the City of Sauk Rapids. We are facing declining revenues and increasing expenses and this will have to be carefully managed in order to protect the services that are provided to our residents.
