Wild resign Foster as he recovers from broken leg by The Associated Press ST. PAUL -- The Minnesota Wild have re-signed injureddefenseman Kurtis Foster to a one-year deal worth just over $1 million. Wild GM Doug Risebrough (RISE'-broh) promised to retain Foster to give him peace of mind about his future after he broke his leg in a March game against San Jose. Foster needed surgery to repair a fractured femur and a stabilizing rod was inserted in his upper leg. He is unlikely to be ready to return to the ice for several months. Foster had seven goals and 12 assists in 56 games last season before he was injured.
