MnDOT reopens northbound 35E in St. Paul

ST. PAUL -- A stretch of northbound Interstate 35E in St. Paul has reopened after being shut down for resurfacing since Friday night.
Minnesota Department of Transportation spokesman Kent Barnard says the northbound lanes of 35E from West Seventh Street to Interstate 94 reopened at 8 p.m. after being closed since 8 p.m. Friday.
However, he cautioned, crews were still striping the southbound lanes in the same area southwest of downtown St. Paul on Sunday evening.
Barnard says MnDOT has one more weekend of resurfacing to go on northbound 35E, but the agency is going to wait until after the Fourth of July holiday weekend and will do the work the weekend after that, weather permitting.
