Child found dead in inflatable pool in Minn.

CARLTON -- Carlton County sheriff's deputies are investigating after a 3-year-old child was found unresponsive in an inflatable pool and later died.

The sheriff's office says a family called emergency responders Sunday evening saying that the child was found in their inflatable pool.

Authorities were unable to revive the child, who was later pronounced dead at Cloquet Memorial Hospital.

The sheriff's office didn't release further details, including the name of the child.

However, the office did remind the owners of pools and ponds to be aware of the dangers associated with them.
