Home of Archbishop of St. Paul-Minneapolis robbed

ST. PAUL -- The Archdiocese of St. Paul and Minneapolis says burglars who robbed the home of Archbishop John Nienstedt (NYNE'-sted) got away with rings and crosses worn by bishops throughout the archdiocese's history.
Spokesman Dennis McGrath says the items are irreplaceable and beyond value.
Rosaries and a small safe were also believed to be missing.
Police say the break-in happened at the St. Paul residence sometime Saturday morning when the thief or thieves climbed onto a first-floor roof and then broke into a second-story window.
About a week earlier, Nienstedt had set out for Rome with a group of about 100 church officials and worshippers.
McGrath says it appears there were at least two people working in tandem and that they were familiar with the residence.
