SOUTH ST. PAUL -- A funeral with full military honors is set to take place for a Minnesota soldier who went missing during the Korean War.
Sgt. Edward James O'Brien's remains were identified recently and will be buried during a ceremony at Fort Snelling on Wednesday.
O'Brien was a member of the Army's 25th Infantry Division. Chinese troops launched a surprise attack on the division in November of 1950.
Through a DNA database, O'Brien's family was eventually able to find him. The remains were recovered in 1998, but it took 10 years before a match was made.
