Minn. hockey coach sentenced for sexual misconduct
by The Associated Press

MINNEAPOLIS -- A former girls hockey coach at Cooper High School in Robbinsdale is sentenced to a year in the workhouse for having sex with one of his players.

A Hennepin County judge sentenced 35-year-old Nathan P. Antrim to 365 days in the workhouse after Antrim pleaded guilty to third-degree criminal sexual conduct.

Antrim apologized to the victim's family in court on Tuesday, saying this has changed his life. He says he's seeking treatment for drug and alcohol issues.

The criminal complaint filed in the case says the girls' father became suspicious and brought his concerns to school officials, who contacted police.

The victim's father was in court Tuesday. He says she's been asked not to return to her hockey team and is depressed because she feels that she's let her family down.

The judge could still order Antrim to pay restitution to help the teen's family pay for counseling.
